I went looking for a true, medium orange creme in my collection, and wouldn’t you know it, this polish from Joe Fresh was the only one I have! Everything else is a burnt autumn orange or a coral leaning orange, or a neon or pastel orange.

Joe Fresh Orange Sorbet Swatch – Macro

My swatches are two coats with a coat of Essence XXL Gel Look topcoat. I’d probably do three coats next time though to ensure full VNL coverage in every light. The opacity looks good in these photos, but in very bright sunlight I could see the shadow of my nail line. I like the colour and think it would make for a nice nail art base.

I found the polish fairly thin, and when I wasn’t exceptionally careful, I did experience some pooling in my cuticles. I think three thin coats would probably solve that to some extent, but it will still require careful application or good cleanup skills.

I experienced chipping really quickly on this manicure. I can’t pin it just on this polish though, since it was also my first time using a new topcoat.

Joe Fresh polish is available at Loblaws at a 3 for $10 price point. In theory it should also be in Shoppers Drug Mart since the incorporation of Joe Fresh cosmetics. That said, I haven’t seen the polish line in an SDM I’ve been to. What has your experience been like with Joe Fresh polishes?
