I’m really falling in love with H&M polishes. They come in a variety of great finishes, have has consistently good formulas, and the bottles and brushes are just my speed. I’m swatching up Stucco and Masala Chai today. You can see some nail art I’ve already done with both of these polishes as a gradient base in my Neutrals and Neons post!

H&M Stucco Swatch – Full Manicure

Stucco is a gorgeous grey based white creme. I went into these swatches expecting a challenge based my past experience with the typical formula for pastels and whites. Both Stucco and Masala Chai gave me a pleasant surprise! These polishes went on fairly thin, but three thin coats were sufficient for good coverage. The formula self levels well even with thinner coats. Leave a decent few minutes between each coat to prevent over manipulation and bald spots.

The H&M bottles are short and squat with a nice wide base. The brush is similarly wide and has a rounded end that makes it easy to manipulate the polish close to the cuticle without the need for a ton of clean up. Note that the streaks in my macro swatches are due to my topcoat being near the end of the bottle and a little sticky. I’ve moved on to a fresh bottle :).

H&M Masala Chai Swatch – Full Manicure

Masala Chai is a vanilla creme polish with the same formula as Stucco. This is a really nice softer shade that is going to be the perfect clean slate and fresh backdrop for Spring nail art. For folks like me who have paler, pinker skin, pure white polish can be a little stark, and this is a nice alternative shade.

H&M polishes regularly retail for $6.99 CAD for 8ml, but there was recently a buy one get one 50% off sale on all H&M beauty at the Eaton Centre location, so I got four bottles including these two lovelies.
