A pumpkin polish in April? Yes indeed. Great polish has no season, and this soft and squishy orange from Beyond The Nail is perfect for Spring. I recently cut my nails down after a bad break on my ring finger, and while I’m normally all about dark colours on my nubs, I think this looks great on the smaller nail.

Pumpkin Spice Swatch – Macro

Pumpkin Spice is an almost creamsicle toned jelly, with a subtle scattered holo visible throughout. While very clearly orange without peach leanings, this colour works well on my pale skintone. I’m normally quite nervous about orange colours, this isn’t too bright at all.

The holo isn’t super visible unless you’re in direct sunlight, but the scattered effect breaks up the look in any light, as you can see in the macro shot above.

Pumpkin Spice Swatch – Full Manicure

I used 4 thin coats to ensure I didn’t have any visible nail line still showing, but if you were more generous with your application, you could get away with three. Normally 4 coats is a deal breaker for me, but the squishiness the jelly formula leaves is well worth it in this case.

The formula is easy to work with and can be applied thinly or more thickly without pooling or streaking.
