Green Holo Polishes!

I love green holographic polishes. Linear, scattered, soft, bold, whatever. I just love them. As a result, I just couldn’t pick two to compare for you in a Tuesday Twosome, and have ended up instead with a Friday Fivesome!

Our brands today include I Love Nail Polish, Colors by Llarowe, F.U.N. Lacquer, and Emily de Molly

Green Holographic Nail Polish Comparison

  • Princeton and Music Box are both out of the Spring 2014 collection from ILNP
  • Princeton has a mintier feel, while Music Box has a blue undertone instead
  • Both have 2 coat (3 if you’re not careful) coverage and an easy to use formula
  • No staining

Colors By Llarowe

  • Mojito has the best formula of the 5 polishes with very easy 2 coat coverage
  • It falls somewhere between Princeton and Music Box with a slightly stronger linear holo, and a slightly more intense colour
  • No staining

F.U.N. Lacquer

  • Ariel has a scattered holographic effect with a decent 2 coater formula
  • This was the colour, but not the finish I responded most to
  • Super cute inspiration as part of the princesses collection
  • Discontinued so finding it may be an issue
  • No staining

Emily De Molly

  • Land of Confusion is the richest green of the bunch with a mid-level linear holographic effect
  • Great formula with even coverage after 2 coats
  • No staining

Verdict: Buy Several

My top three picks from this set of five are:

  1. Mojito – incredible formula, great finish
  2. Music Box – unique blue undertone with a good formula
  3. Land of Confusion – rich colour and great shine
