One of the benefits of living and working in downtown Toronto, is the preponderance of great brand events that are easily accessible. Recently, Sephora has partnered with a number of brands to bring great beauty events to the centre court of the Eaton Centre. I stopped by both a NARS and a Laneige event recently and can’t wait to share with you.
Sephora Loves Toronto with NARS
In late July, NARS came to Toronto to do demos and quick contouring makeovers using their new Sculpting Multiple Duo. This dual ended contouring product comes in several different shades, including a nice light option that was subtle even on my very fair skin. The consistency was fairly firm, but it blended decently on my skin, even though I was already wearing full makeup including setting powder and blush. I can only assume that it would blend better if applied during your full makeup routine and before setting.
This was a fun little event with knowledgeable employees, and some fun free samples. I walked away with concealer and blush samples that were appropriately matched to my skintone. Lines were short and this was a fun 10 minute diversion!
Sephora Loves Toronto with Laneige
I have reviewed the Laneige Water Bank Serum on the blog previously and really liked it, so when there was a huge setup in the Eaton Centre, I had to pop in and see what was up. Laneige has been travelling the world as part of a recent Beauty Road roadtrip, and Toronto was the last stop. Featuring 5 stations, participants had the opportunity to earn tokens that could be used to play a game that potentially won them Laneige products. There was also an online component of the competition.
I tried out a few of the products, and loved the chance to see and feel the difference between items like the gel cream and the rich cream. The lines were long so I opted not to play the final game for product, but I did learn a lot and have a decent time. Thanks for including us in the world tour!
