Thursday, May 11th was not only the day prior to NYX Eaton Centre’s Grand Opening, it was also NYX Prom. The Class of 2016 event was hosted in Downtown Toronto and a number of beauty bloggers were in attendance to celebrate. The prom also served as a collection point for new and gently used prom dresses and suits to support New Circles Prom Boutique. This program helps provide prom necessities to youths who might not otherwise be able to attend their proms.
NYX Prom Glam Station
The event featured four fun stations, including a touch up station featuring NYX products. There was also a Plinko style board where I won a pair of pink NYX sunglasses, and two photo booths. It was great seeing so many other awesome Canadian bloggers, and we enjoyed a few signature cocktails and dancing before the fun wound down.
NYX Prom Glam Look
I don’t actually own any prom appropriate dresses, so I opted for a black cocktail dress with an A-Line silhouette and some simple makeup.
Main products used were:
- Make Up Forever Primer and Face and Body Foundation
- Vice 3 Palette
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
- Julep Don’t Leave Your Brows at Home
- Coastal Scents contour and blush palettes
- Sephora Matte Lip Cream
I wish I had more NYX products to actually wear to Prom, but luckily, we were sent home with a sweet backpack and a full palette. I can’t wait to try it out since the NYX products I do own (some summery lip products) have always been amazing.
You can find a ton of NYX products at the new Eaton Centre location. You can get more info on all of the fun and this new store by visiting the NYX Website.

I’m happy to hear you had fun! I felt too nervous to go, but it looked like everyone had a great time. 🙂
It was fun. You should come out next time! (As someone with Social Anxiety Disorder I definitely understand being too nervous to go, but you’ll be in good company).
It was so nice to meet you! And how insane is it that we’re actually neighbours??
It was great to meet you too. And yes – such a small world!
This looked like such a great event! I wish I lived in Toronto sometimes so I could attend events like these.
