Polishes 22 and 23 of the August/September Indie Challenge are here and I’m sharing two new to the blog brands with you, Carpe Noctem Cosmetics and Darling Diva Polish.

South Haven Sunset – Teal Blue with Strong Gold Shimmer

This was an interesting polish to me. The shimmer is so strong that I found it almost distracting. It also makes all application mistakes very apparent. That said, this is a gorgeous colour combination, and while you can see VNL in these swatches, in regular lighting, I didn’t really see much VNL at all. Two coats, plus topcoat.

One other thing to mention about CNC is there great variety in sizes they come in. I’m not always a huge fan on minis, but unless a polish becomes a major go-to for me, 15 ml will never get used. I love the fact that CNC offers a 12 ml size as well! Perfect for collectors like me.

Dangerous Driver – Sparkly Lilac Holographic

This polish required 3 coats and still wasn’t as opaque as I would have liked. That said, I LOVE the finish, so next time I’ll just put purple undies beneath it. Good application of a fairly thin formula.
